Caputo's Locavore Market Begins Nov. 5

Farmers' markets across the state might be on hiatus, but local producers are still creating and cultivating delicious food products.

That's why Caputo's Market, 314 W. 300 South, teamed up with local food artisans to create the Saturday Locavore Markets. It's an off-season way to shop for products such as  Snowy Mountain Sheep Creamery cheeses, Butcher's Bunches preserves, Slide Ridge honey, and Taylor Made Ranch pork and beef. There is no fee to participate, and producers keep all their profits. Some producers will even use the Locavore Market as a drop-off point for free-range meat pre-orders and CSAs.

The Locavore market begins Nov. 5, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Vendors will vary from week to week, so check out the lineup on  Caputo's Market's Facebook Page (Caputo's Market), Twitter handle (@CaputosMarket), or their website www.caputosdeli.com
